Le Creuset Oval French Oven Giveaway (CLOSED)

ovalfrenchovenflame1

Hi All, Great giveaway this week! A gorgeous Le Creuset 6-3/4 Quart Oval French Oven in the color of your choice!

This contest is now closed. Congrats to Mary, comment #774, for her comment on my Chocolate Cream Pie.

Le Creuset French ovens are not only beautiful, they’re heirloom quality. Made of enameled cast iron, they’re designed to enhance slow cooking by heating evenly and locking in moisture. French ovens are perfect for stews, soups and braises, and also double as rustic yet elegant serving dishes. I love mine and use it all winter long.

For a chance to win, simply review any recipe on the site (in the comment section beneath the recipe) between now and midnight on Thursday, March 8th. You may review up to five recipes for five separate entries. A winner will be chosen on March 9th by a random number generator and notified via email.

You must be a resident of the contiguous U.S. and Once Upon a Chef email or feed subscriber to participate. Click here to subscribe.

Good luck!

  • Many years ago I picked up one of these at a yard sale when I was in college. It was fantastic. I loved it. Note that I said ‘was’ because a housemate left the burner on under it and went out for hours. The enamel coating cracked like broken glass. It was not a quality issue, he left it on the burner for hours. I was heartbroken. Hope that I’ll be lucky enough to win this one!

  • As a Cajun who grew up with cornbread as a staple, your cornbread muffins are the bees knees ….and importantly it’s the addition of the small amount of honey (not a traditional corn bread ingredient). It really does make a difference in the taste …so light and sweet.

This is a great recipe for making hush puppies also; balls of corn bread deep fried in a cast iron skillet.
