2012Sliced Baguette with Butter, Radishes & Sea Salt
Even if you’re ambivalent about radishes, which I’ll admit I am, you’ll love these simple French canapés. The combination of fresh baked bread, softened sweet butter, thinly sliced radishes and flaky sea salt is surprisingly delicious, especially with a crisp white wine.
Start by slicing the baguette into 1/4-inch slices, and then thinly slice the radishes.
Spread pats of the butter lavishly onto the bread.
Arrange the sliced radishes over top of the butter, and then sprinkle the canapés with a bit of sea salt and fresh chopped chives.
Serve and enjoy!

Love radishes and all the ingredients and looking forward to eating them altogether!

I tried this last month and it was delicious! Definitely reinvents radishes – saves them from just being sliced into salads. Don’t skimp on the chives.

This is my entry/review for the Boos Deluxe Cutting Board giveaway. I was super excited to make these for my family’s “Salad Saturday”. A simple cool recipe and great use of radishes!!!

I love this simple combination. Use a European style butter and artesian bread.

I’ve made this as a simple hors d’oeuvre for guests and served with a bowl of olives and a few cheese wedges. Definitely a crowd pleaser – especially for vegetarians/
