2012Anolon 11 Piece Cookware Set Giveaway (CLOSED)
Congrats to Liesel from Tennessee!
Hi All, Fantastic giveaway this week thanks to Anolon Gourmet Cookware. This 11 piece Advanced Bronze Cookware set, valued at $300, is crafted of extra-thick, hard-anodized aluminum — an ideal conductor of heat — and includes: 1.5 Qt. and 3 Qt Covered Saucepans, a 3 Qt. Covered Sauté Pan, an 8 Qt. Covered Stockpot, 8-inch and 10-inch Skillets, and a 12-inch Shallow Grill Pan. The tulip-shaped pans have graceful flared sides, a premium nonstick coating and a chic bronze hue on the exterior. I own several of these pans, and love that the inside and outside surfaces are both nonstick, so clean-up is a breeze and the cookware looks good as new longer.
For a chance to win, simply review any recipe on the site (in the comment section underneath the recipe) between now and midnight on June 27th. You may review up to five recipes for five separate entries. Please leave constructive reviews that will help other cooks. For example: Was the dish perfect as is or would you alter the recipe next time? Did you make any substitutions? What other dishes did you serve it with?
The winner will be chosen by a random number generator and notified via email. You must be a resident of the contiguous U.S. and Once Upon a Chef email or feed subscriber to participate. Click here to subscribe.

Nice looking set!

I made your Vietnamese Carmelized Shrimp. The dish was really pretty and the flavors were great, but my sauce was watery. The consistency of the sauce was too thin. Don’t know what I did wrong. By the way, my husband lovvvved this dish.
Jenn
Hi Susan, I don’t think you did anything wrong…it’s a thin yet very flavorful sauce. Thank you for the feedback, I will specify this in the recipe so others know what to expect.

I especially liked the recipe for the Morrocan chicken, but I think I need to get new spices… the ones I used have been in my cupboard for many, many years! Please comment on the use of jarred/dried spices on your blog. P.S. I try a lot of your recipes and find them easy to use, and pretty fool-proof
Susan
Have made your Chocolate Cream Pie so many times and it never disappoints. It’s added to every single family gathering. It’s so creamy and smooth. I made it this past weekend and added a layer of raspberry on top of the crust before adding the chocolate filling. This is a wonderful dessert.

Love the Italian dressing. Time to make more

I made the Italian Cornmeal cookies. My scoop was a bit larger as I didn’t quote net 40 cookies. These were great. Not too sweet. The texture from the cornmeal was evident. As stated excellent with coffee.
And pretty pretty to boot.

I made the Grilled shrimp tacos with avocado salsa. Easy and delicious. I looked for the specific shrimp at my local Costco. I bought the large deveined shrimp but it still had the tails, wasn’t sure about leaving them on but did take them off. Turned out yummy.
Amy
I made the chicken chili with white beans this past winter….absolutely delicious. Hit with kids as well:) thanks for all the great recipes!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Asian Slaw. It was so colorful and delicious. Made it recently for a get together and served it with ribs. Big hit! Thanks!
BTW – Would love the cookware too!

I made your delicious Donut Muffins recently. They were easy to make and my family loved them! I loved the cinnamon sugar on the top and browned the butter to brush the tops with-so yum! Thanks for the tasty recipe!
Ann
I just made the shrimp tacos wi avocado salsa last night and they are fabulous! Absolutely delicious. I didn’t have a mini chopper, and the recipe still worked just fine!

I have made the shrimp tacos but I think I overcooked them because they shriveled up? Is this right? Overall my husband and I loved them!!
Jenn
Hi Katie, Yes, sounds like you overcooked them a bit…they cook very quickly.
Carrie R
I am confused- are we supposed to review the recipe under the comments section for the actual recipe or here on this post?
Jenn
Hi Carrie, Under the actual recipe would be best. Thanks!
Carrie R
Thanks! That is what I thought, but I saw everyone posting the comments under this post.
Lauren
I made the quinoa with shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and pecans. Such a great variety of textures and tastes!

I made your Nutty Thumbprint Cookies and I am in love with them. They are beautiful and melt in your mouth goodness.
Celeste
The Moroccan Chicken was yummy. I didn’t grill it– this time I baked it in the oven and it was perfect! I will definitely be making this again. Would love new cookware, mine is old and tired!!!
PS: Love your website
Sri
I also reviewed your Quinoa pilaf recipe today.
Cori
I love the Roasted Broccoli with Garlic, Lemon & Parmigiano-Reggiano. It’s a great side for almost any dinner and, more importantly, it’s a great-tasting way to eat our veggies!
Jennie
Oatmeal brown sugar cookies with pecans and raisins are great, but I liked them better when I undercooked them slighlty. I cooked them until the center just became solid. I also liked them slightly larger….3 OZ per cookie.
Norma
I reviewed your juicy steakhouse burgers. The only changes I made were that I used nonfat milk, and a whole wheat bread. It was what I had on hand, and I didn’t feel like running to the store. My buyers came out very juicy and flavorful. I like that the simplicity of the recipe let the beef flavor come through. But, I loved the scallions mixed into the beef. It’s a recipe I’ll definitely be making again.
Jodi
I made 3 reviews. Haven’t tried the recipes yet but am excited to start. Especially if I win the pots.
Mary Johnson
I need cookware so badly. I have been trying some of the recipes but I’m a terrible cook. Would new cookware help?
Dani
The onlyl problem with contstructive reviews is I never change a thing with your recipes. I’m not even saying that to get the pots and pans! My and husband and myself have made most of your dishes and we always follow the recipes exactly and each time they’re a winner!
Patty F.
Your roasted brocolli with garlic, lemon and parm is fantastic, and good on steamed brocolli as well! Thanks. Love you blog!

Just posted 3 reviews. I was looking through my recipes and so many of them are from your blog. They work consistently and are family-friendly with a touch of class. Thanks for the giveaway!

I just made your sparkling white sangria recipe and it was fantastic! I used sparkling pinot grigio (instead of champagne) and it was perfect! Thank you for awesome recipes!

We make your ground chicken tacos for dinner about once a week. I love all the veggies in them, and my kids eat every bite! Yu, yjm! Thank you so much!

My hubby and kids, who don’t like cauliflower much, LOVE your roasted cauliflower! They are simply perfect and a wonderful addition to a meal!
Amy
I think the oven fried latkes are a great idea. link to feedblitz.com
Frying latkes to feed a crowd is often a laborious task. In addition, they tend to get oil-logged. By using the oven frying method in this recipe, they don’t take on excess grease, and you can prepare a large amount at once, without hovering over the stove constantly.
It is important to strain the grated potatoes for a crisper result. I found the pics. very helpful.

I could really use a cooking set.

I made the apple cranberry oat crumble. I just reduced the cinnamon by 1/2 teaspoon, and added 1/4 teaspoon each of ginger and nutmeg.
It was really good, and easy to make.
