In Case You Missed It: Cookbook Update + A Favor To Ask
This post may contain affiliate links. Read my full disclosure policy.
It’s been many months since my last cookbook update so I wanted to share some great news. Thanks to all of you, Once Upon a Chef: The Cookbook was a surprise breakout bestseller! With almost 50,000 copies sold in the first 9 months, the book hit The Washington Post and Publisher’s Weekly bestseller lists, and was also named one of Amazon’s Best Cookbooks of the Year for 2018. I could not have achieved this without your support!
My hope is that the book continues to be successful into 2019 and beyond. To that end, I have a favor to ask: If you’re enjoying the book, would you mind hopping over to Amazon to leave a review? These reviews are incredibly powerful in driving book sales and keeping the book discoverable online. I would be so grateful. Thank you, as always, for your help! ? Jenn
I left my review! I love the cookbook and your website.
💕
Jenn, I am pleased to leave a 5 star review for your book. It, along with all the other recipes of yours that I have tried, makes cooking during a long cold winter a wonderful pastime. So far, the soups, the breads and the triple chocolate cake loaf have been very welcome on the very cold days. Thank you.
That is so nice to read, Sue. So happy you’re enjoying the recipes! 😊
Just did a review! Love you and your book!

I added a review. I actually got this for Christmas because we use your recipes so frequently. It’s been a great addition to my collection; thanks!

I was happy to post a 5-star review!
I am in the midst of planning a graduation party. So far, everything on the menu is from you 😀. Thanks a million for the fantastic recipes and outstanding instructions. You really have made me a better cook.
❤️
Jenn, left a review on Amazon. Happy to provide as you have shared so many great family dinners. Always recommending your site to friends!
Thank you, Kathy!
I don’t know what else I have to say but DITTO!! I was happy to leave a review as I also tell everyone about you and make SO many of your recipes on repeat. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you, Dana! xo
It is easy to write a review about something you appreciate. Thanks for the reminder to do so. Your recipes are easy to follow and have been a welcome addition to the cuisine around here.
My late father who was in the restaurant business for many years would certainly have enjoyed this book and would have especially admired the photos. He augmented his menus with photos to promote certain items he was featuring. The artistry can really sell food and your book, besides the wonderful recipes, is a work of art.
Keep cooking!
❤️
I just left my five-star review on Amazon. To let you know, I had your cookbook on my Christmas list, but did not receive it. Little did I know that my husband had bought it, and decided to give it to me for my January birthday instead! Yea! I wrote in my review, that making one of your recipes is like cooking with a friend – happy times!
Aww, thank you, Sandy. I’m so happy you’re enjoying it!
I was happy to add a review for you Jenn! Love your recipes, they are a winner every time.
Thanks Karen!! xoxo
Jenn,
Just wanted to let you know that I just wrote you a 5 star review of your cookbook on Amazon because it’s true! Thanks for working so hard on the website and the cookbook. Anytime I get talking about recipes with people I always tell them about Once Upon a Chef! I compare you to Ina Garten and wish you had a cooking show too!
Janet
Hi Janet, thanks so much for your kind words and for leaving a review — I’m so lucky to have such wonderful readers!!! ❤️
Dear Jennifer,
I started following your blog, made many of the great recipes, and was so excited when your cookbook came out that I not only bought one for myself, but also for all the cooks in my family.
You’ve become my favorite chef. Ina Garten has been dethroned.
Keep them coming,
Sincerely,
Elaine, I take your comparison to Ina as the highest compliment – thanks so much – you made my day! 🙂
Very happily done! I just LOVE your book, as do the friends with whom I shared it, Jenn.
Thank so much Bette – I really appreciate it! xoxo
Done!
Thank you!!! 💕
Would love o see you on Food Network competing for your own show. You would win HANDS DOWN!
That’s so sweet Carol!! 💕
Only if it were really a how to show. I really hate those competition shows they’ve built their brand on now. I miss the basic shows. But this cookbook is the BEST. It doesn’t really need a video presence to go with it.
