A baguette with butter sounds pretty basic, right?  Sliced radishes will quickly elevate bread and butter to a lovely starter. Even if you’re ambivalent about radishes, which I’ll admit I am, you’ll love these simple French canapés. The combination of fresh-baked bread softened sweet butter, thinly sliced radishes, and flaky sea salt is surprisingly delicious, especially with a crisp white wine.
