Add a burst of fruity flavor to your meals with this tangy and sweet raspberry vinaigrette.
If you’re old enough to remember dining out in the 1980s, you might recall raspberry vinaigrette as a staple on restaurant menus, thanks to the California cuisine trend. This tangy and sweet dressing is perfect for adding a burst of fruity flavor to just about anything. It’s wonderful on my spinach salad with berries, pecans and goat cheese, but don’t stop there—try it with a simple mixed greens, drizzled over grilled chicken, or even as a tangy marinade. Whenever you need a touch of sweet and tangy, this vinaigrette is your go-to!

Glad to see one of our favorite dressings of yours featured as its own recipe. We love this on all salads. Guests are always so impressed with it. I do have a question though. We used all of our raspberry vinegar and since I couldn’t recall where I purchased it and have not been able to find it anywhere, was wondering if there is a brand you recommend? I picked up the California Brand Raspberry Champagne Vinegar and its lack of raspberry flavor makes a for inferior final product.
Shannon, so glad you like it! I think the last time I bought it (I don’t have it in my pantry right now), was the Whole Foods brand.
Saw this recipe and thought it would be perfect for a summery mixed salad with strawberries. I had been given a bottle of a French raspberry vinegar and finally found a use for it. I didn’t have shallots available so left them out. I still tasted fabulous!!!
