Mudslides

Tested & Perfected Recipes

Made from coffee liqueur, vodka and Irish cream, mudslides are basically a liquid dessert.

mudslides

Legend has it that the Mudslide was created at the Wreck Bar in the Cayman Islands. The recipe is simple: one part coffee liqueur, one part vodka, and one part Irish cream. There is no virgin Mudslide: take away the booze and the only thing you’re left with is ice. So, yes, this is a stiff drink that will make you tipsy or (in my case) fall asleep. Enjoy!

  • A perfect combination in just the right proportions. Not too strong as is often the case with these types of drinks and was the perfect after dinner drink for your chicken fajita recipe.

  • I love mudslides. My very kind husband used to make them for me when I would go out to our hot tub when we lived in San Francisco- now that we live in England, it’s when I go up for a hot bath. I’ve told so many people here the recipe but i think they think I’m making it up. I am so thrilled you’ve posted this in your blog, I can now share and they will know it’s legit! Thanks!!!

  • Thanks for the idea! The ratios are perfect. In fact, all of the recipes that I’ve tried on this site are excellent and it’s why when I want to try something new, I rely on your recipes. Given that, I can’t wait until the cookbook is released. Congratulations!

  • These are delicious and incredibly easy to make. FYI – you can buy mudslides already made in a bottle but this is really so much better so save your $ and go for this way to mix your own.

  • Many many congratulations on your cook book! I cannot wait to read it in time! My little sis, who is now the mother of five and a phenomenal chef, told me about your blog around two years ago. My studies brought me to Paris over 25 years ago and I never left as I met my husband (and the rest is history). Your recipes have been enjoyed with SO much praise from him and our two children, in addition to many French people..in schools, at gatherings, etc. EVERYONE here sings your praises and your recipes!! Thank you SO much for your tremendous gift and for bringing your recipes each and every day to Paris. Un GRAND MERCI!! I will also be eternally grateful to my wonderful sister for sharing news of you and your cooking! We will be first in line to get a copy of your book! Félicitations!!!

The Mudslides are great frozen treat too!

  • Is there anything that can substitute for the Kahlula? Love Bailey’s, but not a coffee fan.

    Enjoy your vacation!
